Don Fast set up DFast Consulting in 2013 and joined the Progressive Group as a partner specialising in government relations and pubic policy. Don uses his many years of experience to facilitate successful relations for the private sector with all levels of government in problem solving, strategic direction, policy development and process management.
唐范德先生于2013年组建唐范德咨询公司，并以合伙人身份加入进步集团，负责政府关系和公共政策相关事务。唐先生以他多年的经验，从解决问题、战略方向、政策发展和过程管理等方面着手帮助私营部门和各级政府搞好关系。

 

Don is a results and service oriented leader that knows how to get things done. His broad experience at a senior level in three provinces and with the federal government has enabled him to have collaborative relationships with governments and businesses to accomplish mutually beneficial outcomes.
唐范德先生是一位注重结果的服务型领导，懂得如何把事情做好。在三省份担任高级官员的经历以及和联邦政府打交道的丰富经验使他能与政府和企业建立合作关系，从而实现互利的结果。

 

Don was the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economic Development from 2006-2010. Don’s responsibilities included the Provincial Nominee Program for skilled and unskilled workers, the labour market development agreement, venture capital and international trade and investment, BC’s international offices and trade missions, small business, regulatory reform, research and innovation and community economic development and infrastructure. During his tenure Don developed and implemented BC’s international trade and investment organisation and strategy and opened offices in Asia, Europe and the US.
唐范德先生在2006年~2010年期间曾担任经济发展厅副厅长，具体负责技术和非技术工人的省提名计划、劳动力市场开发协议、风险资本和国际贸易与投资、卑诗国际办事处和贸易代表团、小企业、规制改革、研究和创新以及社区经济发展和基础设施。在任期内，唐先生制定和实施了卑诗国际贸易和投资组织和战略，并在亚洲、欧洲和美国开设了办事处。

 

During the period 2010-2013 Don had various DM responsibilities including universities, science and technology, first nations university education strategies, community legislation/policy/funding/infrastructure, sports and arts policies and funding, gaming grants for non profit organisations, and culture.

From 2000 – 2006, Don was the Regional Director General, Pacific and Yukon Region of Environment Canada. Prior to 2000, Don was Assistant Deputy Minister, Environment and Lands Headquarters for the BC Ministry of Environment, Lands and Parks, following a position as Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Department. Don’s environmental responsibilities included policy and regulation of fish and wildlife, land management, crown land sales and rental, outdoor recreation, meteorology, water quantity and quality, industrial and municipal wastewater, hazardous waste, drinking water quality, climate change, and air quality. In 1991, Don was the acting CEO of the BC Hazardous Waste Management Corporation.

Don worked for the Saskatchewan government in various senior management positions, including the Director of Federal/Provincial Relations. Previous to this, Don was a scientist in charge of provincial environmental laboratory facilities for one of Ontario’s regions.
唐范德先生曾在萨省政府机构服务多年，担任高层管理职务，包括联邦/省府关系事务厅长。之前，唐先生是负责安大略地区的省环境实验室设备的一名科研人员。

 

Don has a science degree from the University of Saskatchewan, a M.Sc. from York University and is a registered professional engineer. He has a farming background and leased and operated a grain farm during his university years.
唐范德先生拥有萨省大学的理科学士学位、约克大学的理科硕士学位，也是注册专业工程师。唐先生有着农业背景，在大学期间曾租赁和经营过一个谷物农场。

Recent BC agency responsibilities include the Premier’s Technology Council, the BC Innovation Council, the Film Commission, Creative BC, BC Assessment Authority, Property Assessment Appeal Panel, Islands trust, BC Games society, ViaSport, and the Royal BC Museum.

Don is married with two grown children, four grandchildren and also has a young son born in 2005.
